Seen on the M25 on the way back from Gatwick yesterday, a Ducati 1098S
with the plate TEN 98S. Which I thought quite nice, despite not
    usually being a "cherished-plate-isto"[1]

[1] Assuming that's the singular of "isti".

Oh, and yes, nice touch. He'll be gutted when he gets an 1198S though.

That's nice. In English it's a legitimate plural form.

    Fact.

Panini may be the plural for sandwich in Italian but in English it means
a single toasted sandwich. When was the last time you saw a shop over
here sell someone a single panino?

CBR900R on a Fireplace in Swansea.

Many years ago, when Motorcycle City were clearing out TRX850s for £4k
on 0% APR, I was close to doing a deal on one, and had lined up the
    plate 'P850 TRX' for it.

I saw one of the plates I want today - 1 LAB. It's on a black Range
Rover that was travelling through Barnet. My ultimate plate would be
LAB 1A, but my chances of getting it are zero.
