    What's the best biography/autobiography you've read?

I'm reading Oliver Reed bio at the moment, and Errol Flynn Autobio has
been started but I'll read OR first I reckon.
Keith Moon (Dear Boy) was good too.
    Anthony Keidis was ok
    Richard Pryor (was ok)
Niall Mackenzie (the best of the racers bios, imo)

Richard Burton is meant to be good? Never read it.

    Recommendations?

William Haig's bio of Pitt is very good. I've got his recent one on
Wilberforce but I havn't started that yet.

Rock & Roll - Marianne Faithfull's auto bio.

"Rich" by Melvn Bragg? I enjoyed it a lot.
The David Niven autobiographical books are fun. As are the Barry
    Humphries series.

    I thought it was.
And for sure if there is anyone to say what it's like, it would be him.
He got shot, how nearer can you get? It can't get more interesting or
closer than John Simpson's tales to tell.

  16. Two off the top of my head:

Nigel Slater - Toast is pretty good.
Richard Branson - Losing My virginity was an interesting read, if a
little "look how good I am".
