Bought a safe from Macro couple of months ago.
Now it's decided to not open, correct pin number, even with the bloody
    key, bastard thing.
Thank **** I have the 'tool'. (ukrm patent) I'm gonna take it from
    behind. ;-)
Thank **** never bolted it down in the small cupboard where it is...
It's gonna be a sparky afternoon.

Do let us know how many discs you use up and how many fingers you lose.

You could take it to your local safe shop tomorrow and get him to try
his magic fingers or one of his bunch of keys. You're probably not wiggling
    the key properly.

I assume this one is an electronic PIN job. However, there should have
been a cylindrical type over-ride key for it to use if the battery
    fails.

I very much doubt an angle grinder will make much of an impression on
it, they're fucking heavy, which suggests they're quite robust.

    Yes, key doesn't work.
    3mm. I'll get through that.

If it's anything like the cheap ones they sell, and tested in which, take
the hinges off with a sledge in about 15 secs.

Hit down on the hinges. Or crowbar in the front. Things are basically tin
    foil.

I cant see how you can 'hit down on the hinges', you cant get a purchase
    on the door at all.
Same with the door, no chance to get any implement in to pry..
I'm going to get my angle grinder out, ands thats the end of it. :)

Sounds like you have a different one then. The ones on test had hinges on
the outside, and you could get a jemmy of some kind in the door

    Hope the contents survive.

It will be either the battery is dead or dying or the electromagnetic catch
    is sticking or weak.
The sliders are usually steel with an alloy arm.
Grind off the heads of the hinge pins and lever accordingly from the hinge
    side.
    It'll almost fall apart.

I thought it was shite enough not to bother watching it all the way through,
    if that helps.

Mine's the same, but key operated only. No external hinges at all, and
    quite substantial steel.

  19. I've sat through it twice, the second time many years after the first in
the hope that age (mine) had improved it. Slightly, but not much.
