O.T. Video Help.

Hiya Peoples.
I know this will be off topic in some groups, But I know there are some
very knowledgable gurrues out there.
I have an annoying problem with my PC. My PC refuses to run at anything
other than 640x480 pixels with 16 bit color, If I try to run at a higher
resolution, It reverts to the above settings.
I've reloaded the video drivers, No difference.
I tried a system restore, No difference.
I changed the video card to "Standard VGA Adaptor", through the desktop,
rebooted & reloaded my videocard & drivers, No difference.
I'm at a loss. Any Ideas please.

PC Specs:
Celeron 366
192meg ram
WinME with all updates, (Windows Updates).
10gig HDD, 2 gig free.
16meg VooDoo Banshee.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PS: I've very rarely had any problems with ME, So those who want to bag it,
forget it, I'm sticking with it.

Been using it since 2000, If I was going to have big problems, I think I
would have by now.

 

No, I was told to chaech what my monitor selection was, It was set at
"Standard VGA Monitor", I was able to change it to the model of the monitor
I'm actually using & that fixed it.
