That's the American Star, languishing off the West coast of Fuerteventura,
in the Canary Islands. I rode out to it (well, to the beach next to it, for
the pedantic) on an off-road biking day I did out there, earlier this year.
It's looking a lot more sorry for itself now - the remaining funnel shown in
that picture has collapsed, and it's lying at a much steeper angle.

    Here's a more up-to-date picture: http://www.backtrax1.com/P1020755.JPG

Yeah, it's a bit fucked now.
Apparently it's a bit of a hike to get out there to see it, not easy.

It's about a 15-20 minute drive from the nearest 'proper' road, along a
dusty, potholded gravel track. Great fun on the Huskies we were riding, but
a lot of people were trying to make the trip in their hire cars, and getting
into all sorts of trouble. Amazingly, despite the steep, poorly-surfaced
hill leading down to the beach, there were half a dozen caravans parked-up
down there. No idea how they're considering getting them back up - if they
    are at all.

Actually going out to the wreck is a no-no - several people a year get
dragged-off by the currents while trying to swim out to it.

Yeah, there has been a good few folk died on that wreck.
There was talk of them blowing it up a few years ago, think the sea is
    gonna take it now though.
