O2 Sensor and options ?

    Can anyone educate me on the ins and outs and anything else on these O2
    sensors...

    I have a Power Commander 3 USB and am considering what the O2 sensor does,
    and will it get in the way if I have a bespoke map done with it removed, so
    my fuelling is as close to optimum as possible ?

    ........and what about MOT time - does it have to be un-naturally lean to
    pass, these days ?
