Obligatory light question

    Obligatory lights - particularly what I would call a "sidelight" are
    still required for the MoT, I believe. The question is - what wattage
    bulb? I think it is 5W, but isn't there an option of 21W with a
    frosted/diffuse lens?

    Yeah, yeah, the Rat doesn't have a sidelight ... yet. There's a ratty
    old Raydyot light inna box though ;-)

    If it's for the front, don't bother.

    Ever since I spectacularly redesigned the 6R[1], it's been lacking a
    sidelight and neither of the last two MoT testers were bothered.

  4. The first MOT I had on the triumph it failed for the same reason, at the
    time the tester remarked it only needed a light if there was a space to fit
    one in the headlamp shell. In my case bodging a side/parking light was
    easier/cheaper than changing the shell.
