Odd Blues 'n' Two's

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Vegetable Grower, Nov 27, 2006.

  1. As subject. Bimbling along the M27 tonight and got passed by an unmarked
Focus estate with blue's and two's going full tilt. Not that odd (apart
from the fact it was a Focus), but this thing had a round thang that
looked like a squashed fixed radar dome sticking out of its roof, about
4-5 inches high towards the rear.

    Any ideas?

  5. After seeing that stuff on beeb one tonight (8.30ish) and seeing what
paramedics/ambulance crew/doctors do, I worship the ground they fucking walk
    on.

Being able to turn up at an "incident" and calm people down and save lives
    etc .... amazing.

I've only ever had a broken wrist and a broken ankle from falling out of the
tea tray whilst racing an F2 Ireson and a F1 Baker (and a dislocated knee
cap from school rugby), but everytime I've used the NHS they've been superb.

Private now (thanks plc), but I find it difficult to put into words how much
respect I have for the frontline guys and guyettes, and everyone else
involved in converting broken people to fixed people.

  6. A very worthwhile thing, but..

"We exist to compliment Hampshire Ambulance Service"

That's with an 'e', old fruit.

Squashed radar thing is likely to be a GPS antenna.
I guess they want one they /know/ will work.

There are of course alternatives, radar warning receiver,
laser targetting detector, maybe its on its way to Baghdad.

He means that the word 'compliment' is misspelled: in this case it
    should be 'complement'.

There's another doh!, I'm afraid. Removing signatures (aka 'snipping
sigs') is considered good form. Any decent newsreader will do it for
you automagically, but if yours won't, take out everything from the
sig separator (the dashdashspacereturn) downwards. I've drawn a line
above to indicate where to do it in future.

    Cheers.

Nonono, you're doing it all wrong! At this point you're supposed to throw
your rattle out of the pram, tell everyone to **** off and flounce off into
    the distance...
