I quite fancy doing some sort of off-road skills thing this year. What
courses Can people recommend from their Own experience? I wouldn't be
    interested in anything too energetic.

Verdigris emerged from their own little world to say
isn't darsy supposed to be DFVing something based on a recommendation from
    linger?

I'm interested in trait riding rather than motocross/enduro stuff.
You're right. Riding that desk all day sure takes it out of a man.

    yes and no.

I'm intending to do the one in Essex in June/July.

    I'm not "organising" anything, though.

I'd give up on the idea right now, then - it's intrinsically energetic!

    The least-knackering off-road day I've done was

    http://www.huskytrails.co.uk/

.... which was mainly trail riding and relatively smooth, but potentially
muddy, green-laning round the Ridgeway. Even with something like this you
can expect to fall off several times, and even if you don't, you'll be quite
    sore afterwards.

    It's *huge* fun though

I'm not sure if that one is still going. I was there a month ago and its
turned into a good MX track.

Don't go if you are unfit. You'll only manage 10 minutes at a time max.
I ride 4 hour enduro's and can only manage 20 minutes at race pace on a mx
    track.

Geriant Jones is the man but he's in wales.
If the guys at www.essexoffroadexperience.co.uk are still going they're
    worth a visit.
