  1. It would seem that Ogri has moved from Bike to Back Street Heroes.

They all are, Bike's pretty dire at the minute too. Performance bike is very
good to be honest. Just don't keep confusing it with Fast bikes & buy that
    pile of tripe instead.

I have to say that I rarely buy bike mags nowadays unless there's a
very specific article that catches my eye. This is made even rarer
because I don't often bother to look through the magazine shelves of
    newsagents any more.

    Bike.
I have liked Ogri since the 70's, when it was a much better, (more
amusing) strip. I have subscribed to bike for years, but lately I
hardly ever seem to find anything of interest in it. I don't think I
will be taking out a subscription to BSH, it doesn't reflect my
interests and Ogri isn't good enough anymore.

All what? Cartoons in motorcylce magazines? I used to quite like
Bloodrunners and Tina Tailpipe, and Fred Gassit is work of ineffable
    genius.
I really quite like Bike at the moment.
FB has pretty much always been rubbish. PB was fantastic in the late
80s and 90s, with Rupert Paul at the helm, but I doubt it'll ever
    recover its former glory.

    Agreed.

I notice that www.ogri.co.uk has been pulled and Paul Sample's wikipedia
    entry is going.

But, i think PB is really rather good, gives me everything i want, well,
apart from huge tits & g-strings....

I keep meaning to cancel my Bike subscription, as TBH there's very
little in there of interest to one who no longer does bikes. But Ogri
was always the first thing I turned to, ever since I first started
buying it in about 1979. They went through an Ogri-free period in the
90s, IIRC, but then got him back, presumably in response to a drop in
    sales.

But it's all been a little self-referential and derivative since,
oooh, about 1983, when they ran out of original plotlines. Still funny
at times, but it's just too dated now, IMO.

He probably won't, because i don't recall him making such a mistake
before, whereas you do it repeatedly. And then when it's pointed out
to you, you claim you can't even see the problem.

I gave up with all bike mags years ago.

Do *any* of them *ever* do any tests other than Gixxer vs CBRR vs ZXR
    vs YZF these days?

I might pop over to the garage at lunchtime and have a browse.

    Just to check.

Well, I popped over the road to the garage at lunchtime to have a look
and all they had was Superbike[1] and MotorCycle[2].

I do sometimes buy a mag of some sort to flick through when I'm on
trains & planes though, so maybe I'll get a copy of Bike at Gatwick
    next week.

[1] I couldn't really see much of what it had due to the plastic
wrapper it was in. There was something on Gixxer Thous and a group
test with a KTM Duke and similar.
    [2] The 2010 Harley range.

I don't even bother with Motorcycle Sport these days. Though I'm told
it's not too bad, just suffering from becoming just another road test
mag without any of the much loved features of yesteryear - particular
the letters pages (note use of plural).
