    Nah.

A Suicide dive is when you have a BMW GS as a loan bike for two days,
get back on your 16" front wheel GPX750, then tip it into a corner.

I'd say the chain was too slack - if I let it get too far on the 10R
it makes it harder to be smoother with the throttle. I have to say
that having a twitchy busa is a new one to me - a mate who has had one
for some time has extolled it's stable virtues on a number of
    occasions.

Nige - either it was fucked and you're well shot of it, or you're shit
and anything easier to ride will be an improvement, meaning you're
well shot of it. Either way, you win, so enjoy.

Hehe, yes I can see that being a little bit interesting.

Would have been more fun if you'd had the loaner for a couple of weeks
    rather than days.

Yep, I've heard that said by everyone so far. Something must have been
    up with it.

Bingo, it wasn't shot, but it was worn on the rear. Tyre pressures
where fine. It felt odd, but it was manageable. It kind of pushed into
your hand quite hard & it wasnt anything to do with counter steering
that I could work out. It didnt feel 'right' I thought maybe it was
setup wrong suspension wise for me, but i was the same weight as the
    bloke i bought it off.

Anyway, I much prefer the blade, just feels altogether lighter & much
    more me.

The twitchy bit was the throttle. It was quite twitchy & no it didn't
scrae me before anyone says anything. It was fucking fast, but it
didn't scare me. To me, it's not how fast it goes outright, it's how it
    does the speed that matters.

It's hard to explain, but if you experienced it, you would know it to
be odd. I didn't give the tyre much thought, as it wasnt overly worn.
But it wasnt quite the right profile now i think of it, was a tad
    flatter in the middle.

I'm wondering if the 'Busa was fitted with one of those "quick throttle"
    doobries?

Most every bike I've ever ridden has scared me one way or another; or,
at least, I've managed to scare myself on them.

You seem to be very 'enthusiastic' about bikes with the turn over you've
had in your stable, out of interest how long have you been riding?

Thats a different thing altogether. I can scare myself shitless in my
Land Rover, as it can do things you wouldn't believe. Bikes don't
really scare me, but as you say, I can always scare myself.

I did it today, just a bit too much gas from first to second on the
blade & a very near tankslapper. Wasn't the bike, it was my numb hands!

On and off for around 12 years, off road, then on road. I'm not
    counting my mis-spent youth there.

I love bikes, always have, in fact I love most forms of automotive
    transport.

I do tend to have a high turnover of anything I like. I'm one of these
folk that don't really hesitate & am willing to try something new. If I
dont like it or it's shit - ho-hum.

I suppose the 'scariest' bike would be the old KTM I had. That was just
fucking insane 520cc's of raw lunacy, it was ace.

I really can't get over how the blade feels, it either flatters me, or
I am better rider than I thought.....
