  1. I don't want to drink vodka from another man's arse-crack, though.
Call me straight, if you must.

You know why? For it to have been a war an bill would have had to be
passed through congress, and they weren't certain enough of success to
    try it.

I read it on the internet yesterday, so it must be true.

Well obviously not. If they did that people might notice that they
weren't doing anything in the first place!

Hah, something similar happened in our place. Two blokes took a huff at
having to move office[1] and decided to go off with long-term stress leave.

They seemed not to consider that, if you're going to do that kind of
stuff, it's generally better to be sure that your absence isn't only
    noticeable because your chair's empty.

    They're now seeking employment.

    [1]I kid you not

Well, you've got a decent pay off, so may never get such a good chance
for a career change again. Go on, live your dream!

The little skirmish in 1982 that Britain had with Argentina in the
Falklands is officially refered to as 'a conflict', as war was never
    declared by either side

Heh, for some strange reason I believe in making sure that my superiors
are of the opinion that I can easily be replaced. Not sure if it's
because of that Erich Von Manstein quotation about the "lazy and
    intelligent should be promoted" thing.

I prefer to make it easier to keep me because I make sure everything
just works. I like to think that I don't get paid my massive salary for
when things are running smoothly, any monkey can do that, I get paid for
making sure that no one else notices when things have gone wrong.

I was off work for a long time having a complete mental breakdown, still
have my job so I guess the philosophy works ;-) . Mind you, the company
seemed to be completely paranoid about it being caused by stress due to
    overwork !

  10. So my brother's birth on 25/06/1950 was all a bit futile, then?

  13. That reminds me - years ago, when I was bored, I bought
contractkillerforhire.com and stuck an almost blank page on there
advising people to email me. I had it for two years, in total. Got
    one email.

So I doubt it's a very profitable business, unless I got my marketing
    all wrong.

    Who from?
You need some case studies, referrals, maybe a bit of flash animation.
That would perk up the business, I reckon.

marketing was rubbish - you had no USP: goatee-wearing shaven-headed
West-Ham-Supporting oik from Essex offering to do violence for cash?
    Where's the originality in that?

Plus, and much more importantly, no form.
