  3. It is. I'll give it a week on Fleabay. Starting price £999; no reserve.
If it sells, I've doubled my money, which is nice. If it doesn't, I keep
it and flog the 550 instead.

Nice bloke ain't he. Never phone him for a 'quick' bit of advice
though, you need at least an hour spare just for XS related chit chat

****, I'm gutted. I hadn't spoken to him for maybe 4 years or more
now, not since my last XS was sold. I was thinking of a trip down
there as well. Is the shop still there or has that gone as well now.

  14. I see it's a single disc. Did the Septic ones have that, or is it
buggered around with? Just that mine has two.

It would be ideal. But I'm not buying it. No, I'm not. I don't need
another bike. No, not at all.

  17. All US models had a single disc as standard. UK roadster XS650 models
had two smaller discs. All Custom models, sold anywhere, had one large
    disc.

XS2 had single disc. XS1 was drum (eek!).

Dam :( no more Halco stuff. What a real shame.

I still had plans in the back of my head for a XS650 Roadster with the
1140 big bore kite and all the extras :(

I do miss my Roadster, one of the few bikes I wish I hadn't sold and
one of the few that would get me back on two wheels.

Now that *is* a good site. thanks for posting that.

And, in late news, a poster says he definitely wants the GPz550. So
I'll have to cancel the auction for the XS650 and keep it.

Next problem - how to explain this to The Doctor. I mean, the GPz was
the sensible economical winter hack, and the XS650 is pure
self-indulgence. If I put dropped bars and a cockpit fairing on it
    would she notice the difference?
