Oh my dizzy aunt

Spent a couple of hours today putting a pair of PIAA 1000X spots [1]
onto my K75 plus an HID dip beam. (Spots mounted using screen mounting
screws so pretty high up the fairing)

Jesus. It's bright. Very, very bright indeed. The HID has a halogen
main beam which isn't very good. I've paralleled the HIDs up with this
and now, when switched on they illuminate *every-mother-fucking-thing*
I've never seen lights this good.

I've an early ish start tomorrow so am really looking forward to the
journey... anyone who flashes me because they think my dip is too
bright[3] will find out what too bright is really like...

I'm happy with that purchase. K75's looking pretty good now; will look
better in a few weeks- I've got a set of supposedly spotless, crackless,
just painted silver bodywork (full set except for tank and mudguard)
coming. It'll look pretty bloody swish with that on. Might even fit
the new crashbars I put to one side for it.

Then I'll park it in the garage because it will have become "too nice to
    use in the winter".

[2] ebay purchase, paid something like this for the pair.
[3] I've adjusted the headlight to throw to the left and down, I've
taken it out for about 20 minutes and haven't a) had any oncoming cars
flash me or b) had the car in front shield the rear view mirror so I
    think it's adjusted OK.

    I have

you are SIX years behind the curve.
Welcome to the new century. I used the same model PIAA.

People didn't like me riding behind them, as Pip found with Elly on the
CBR6, it creates a darker shadow in front of the leading bike.

With judicious use of relays and a diode you can have the left spot on
with dip pointing a little lower and up the inside kerb and both on with
    high beam.
