Wow. Heart attack before you're 50 at this rate..
You sell a duff bike, you're getting more dosh than you should for it.
You're swindling someone out of money.

I can call you 'a cheat' if that'd make you feel better. Hmm? Whaddya

If I buy a bike and the seller lies abouts its (or 'it's' (sic) as Nige
would put it) roadworthiness, then I'm being cheated out of money. If it's
worth, say, a grand and I pay him fifteen hundred quid, then five hundred
pounds of my money has been cheated out of me.

If cheating someone out of money isn't 'stealing', perhaps you could tell
me what it is, eh ..?

On second thoughts, don't bother. You'd lick Ted Bundy's nuts if he were
    attacking me.

The issue (as I see it) with Nige and the Ebayed GS was that he made
out that he'd given it back to the dealer as being unfit for purpose.

IIRC the bike had been repaired/bodged by the dealer and at that point
he Ebayed it rather than wait for the next disaster. While this could
be interpreted as ripping off the unsuspecting Ebayer it could also be
claimed that the bike was "fit for purpose" when he sold it and any
further problems would be covered by the balance of the manufacturers
    warranty.
Did he cheat them or did he sell it rather than risk it going wrong
again? I think it was ok when he got rid of it and for all we know it
might never have missed a beat again.

He's still a lying twat for insinuating he'd given it back to the
dealer but you're a lying twat for claiming you had an R1. I think
you're made for each other and you should decide which one will be the
    'giver'.

    Erm ... I didn't. I haven't since Friday.

{ snip remainder of Nige calling _me_ thick, which considering that he's
just accused me of morphing and I didn't ... is sheer, poetic irony )

Fuckin' hell, it really is 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' around
    here.

Hey, Nige? If you've ever felt the desire to become a serial killer, a
rapist or a terrorist, now's the time, dude. As long as you keep calling
me a ****, UKRM will keep lovin' ya till it hurts.

This is getting tiresome Des, so as a favour I'll explain it.

The enemy of my friend is also my friends friends enemy, but he's
friends with my enemies friends enemy, who in turn is the enemy of his
friends enemies enemy, but their friends friend is and enemy of their
friends enemy, which isn't really all that friendly if you think about
    it.

Well, yes and no. The fact is that no matter how 'right' I might be or how
'wrong' Nige might be (and his accusations over the past few hours that
I've 'morphed' are leading me to the conclusion that he's more stupid than
even I'd given him credit for and frankly that fucking terrifies me), Nige
will _always_ win the 'UKRM Popularity Pagent' for the simple reason that
he's not me. He could steal into some UKRMers' homes, rape and strangle
their female children and barbecue their labia, and still be voted a
capital fellow because 'he's not Des'.

That's the way UKRM works, and I'm not going to change it.

As for my recent use of the word 'liar', I'd avoided confronting Nige
because he'd killfiled me and in general I respect that which is of course
why I only 'morphed' on Friday. I'd be pissed off if I'd plonked someone
and they kept changing their e-mail address or posting name, and so I
really do try to respect that in others. However, Nige's hypocritical,
holier-than-thou (not to mention grammatically disastrous) jibes had to be
    answered.

Now as for 'relative' levels of naughtiness, inventing a bike that one
doesn't have is, well let's not beat about the bush: a bit fucking stupid.
I could (and have) pointed out that the original post here with the 'R1' in
my .sig was accidentally crossposted. I could also point out that if I
hadn't had stalkers on AADP and here, I'd have admitted to the ruse a lot
sooner. The recent obsessive following of me around Usenet by Eiron and
raden, shows that my reticence was not unfounded. However, fair do: I
    should have coughed up.

Yet I hope you will agree that there are lies, and there are lies. SO asks
me if I've taken the bins out and I glance behind the door, see the poly
bags still lying on the floor but answer, 'oui, mon Amour', mainly 'cos I'm
posting to UKRM and can't be arsed getting up to do it. That's 'a lie',
just as claiming to have a bike when one doesn't, is a lie.

Yet no one suffered due to the 'iR1'. No one asked me 'CIHAGM?'. No one
offered or gave money for a shot of it.

Then there's selling a duff bike, or lying about the condition of a bike or
the circumstances surrounding its sale. That isn't just a little 'white
lie'; that is a deliberate and considered act of wilful dishonesty. The
person committing that act _chooses_ to scam or cheat someone out of money.

The 'iR1' was the one and only dishonest statement that I have ever made on
this group, and you and I both know, Paul, that if it had been anyone else,
the 'iR1' would have been forgotten long ago. I am sure you know this not
because I 'know you', for as you'll be quick to point out, a few drunken
nights spent in someone's company (especially when I was the one getting
drunk) doesn't make us blood brothers. No, I know that you are aware of
the fact that the 'iR1' is used as a stick to 'beat Des', because I do not
doubt your intelligence. The 'iR1' isn't still being hashed up because it
was some heinous and horrid lie .. but because it was made by me, and it's
still being hashed up 'cos that's all they have. Ace doesn't like me, so
he brings it up every time to cast doubt on any assertion that I make (and
it backfires and he ends up looking as thick as shit when I use
photographic evidence to prove, for example, that I do teach). Nige uses
it to divert attention from his own dishonesty and as for Blaney, well he
    just fucking detests Jews.

UKRM is now 99% 'anti-Des' and I've thought of walking away, but I want to
be able to look at myself in the mirror in the morning. And walking away
when I'm not only right but so comprehensively, utterly and
_overwhelmingly_ right, would mean that I'd never be able to look at my
    face in the mirror again.

Actually, I still sort of regret that we got off on the wrong foot all
those years ago. It appeared to me (at the time) that you sought to cash
in on what was my still relatively recent unpopularity with your 'did
anyone else think of Des when they read this?' at the time the bloke gunned
down ten or so local councillors in Nanterre. Being equated with a mass
murderer when all one has done is to complain about one's treatment on a NG
was, I'm sure you can imagine, extremely insulting and whilst no one would
have dared say it (one because it was aimed at me and two because you're a
good-looking girl whom most of the blokes fancied), it did you no favours
    whatsoever.

One last point concerning your response to Nige: you say that the 'iR1'
event happened before he arrived and thus he 'wasn't affected' by it, if I
recall your words. Please tell me how _anyone_ was 'affected' by it. At
the end of the day, it was no more 'UKRM's business' than was the size of
    my cock.

Other than that, well your post was pretty accurate. You have grown.
