I might treat the 12R to that race exhaust I have lying in the garage
    waiting to be fitted.

..... And to some redline action in 5th ;) [1]

Last trip out last year I managed a gantry to gantry of around 9.4x ish,
although I don't normally time laps.
It was first thing on sunny monday morning and one of those glorious ring
moments where I passed nothing and nothing passed me.
I didn't see another car until arriving back at the barrier.

I started reading that, and thought you were going for this:

"We ride hard, we ride fast; we cruise at a minimum of 200kph and stop
every hour, only for fuel; we're deep in enemy territory, so if anyone
goes down, you're on your own - let's hope they honour the Geneva
    Convention"

  11. PS: If you're riding a Bandit 1200, good fucking luck. Needless to say,
    I won't be.

  14. It's not that simple tho is it. Just imagine:

    Saturday morning:
    DNC: "I need fuel"
    ukrm: <groan>

2/3rds of the way to the 'ring:
DNC: "Err, I appear to need fuel again"
    ukrm: <groan>

    /collective lap/

    leaving the 'ring:
DNC: "hang on a sec, I need fuel"
    ukrm: <groan>

2/3rds of the way to hotel:
DNC: "hang on a sec, I need some fuel"
    DNC: "guys? Guys?...hello?"

**** that. Besides, I'll have a pillion, and the B12 isn't pillion friendly.

An even better idea. Well done.

I must remember to pack a reel of gaffa tape.

Game on. Slowest lap buys the beers?

As long as it's not pissing down I've every intention of doing at
least two laps. Can you do a flying lap or do you have to stop and pay
    every time you pass go?

    "Everywhere".

It would be funny if you were to be overtaken by, say, a van though.
