    Hi Mate,

The Nitro Helmet you recommended I get late last year, and very pleased with
    it I am, has died.
Where can I get spare parts for it? It's technically still under warranty
but I happy to buy the bits if I can, for a quick solution.
I need the cable that releases the chin bar, and the 2 plastic ratchet
thingys that stop the chip bar hurtling down unwanted like!.
    Can you help please mate..

    TIA.

    Greybeard says...
Return it to a Nitro supplier, with the receipt, for a replacement
helmet. We'll give the supplier a full credit on return of the old one.
That's the way we work with warranty claims. No hassles, just replace in
these circumstances. The rep for that area will be able to confirm this
if the dealer cares to phone him. Where did you buy it from?

I got it from a supplier on the interwebby. Not sure I can find the receipt!
I've got it here somewhere, I'll have a look.
Can I take it to Newheath M/c's in Newmarket? They are my local Nitro
dealers, and I think you're their rep??

Found the receipt. November 2004 from a Bikerite Milton Keynes.

I'm not complaining about the helmet in any way, I'm more than happy with
it, hence I'd like to repair it.

    Cheers.

I'm not the rep, but F.C. Moores near you are on my patch. I'll call
them tomorrow and arrange a new one for you with them as the supplier,
    if they agree.

It's got to be less than a year old, they haven't been in the shops a
    year yet.

Moores is just down the road.
I haven't had a good time with them though, Failed my bike MOT when they
    shouldn't have. Another story that.

If they can help then that fine, I've got the receipt here now, and can scan
and send you a copy if you wish.

They didn't have them in stock when I was looking last year or I would have
    got it from them.

    Thanks again.

My Arai broke as well! ;o)
The side plate broke whilst changing the visor a while ago, Arai, as in
Phoenix, sent me a new side plate FOC.
What great service, as the helmet was out of warranty by around a year. I
was quite happy to pay for it.

Oh, and that was thanks to Lozzo again. The man deserves a medal...

One of my Uvexes had 3 years solid use, and did probably 50,000 miles.
All I needed was a set of cheekpads because my unshaven chops wore them
    away.

As a Nitro Helmets Repairs Monkey, I can only state that this is not
currently an option, and apologise profanely. Lozzo's advice is sound.

Yep I realise that, by repair, I meant get it back on my head somehow..
preferably without cutting my head off!

Lozzo is being the usual 'Diamond Geezer' and is getting it sorted for me.

Must say though, I'm very pleased with bucket all round.
