Look don't try to bamboozle me with good sense, if I see a black one I
    will buy it ok.

I still have another far too many bikes shoppes to tour in sunny Essex,
I am sure something will crop up.

Yebbut they look far too much like a sprots bike to me and sprots bikes
get noticed in all the wrong ways and despite riding like an utter ****
I enjoy a clean license which I think is largely because I try to be
    invisible.

    Theoretically yes.

OK, I'll make a point of bringing me gear if I don't bring me bike.

Deceptive, aren't they? Look like a barge, but you can't half chuck
them about and they are fucking quick.

  11. Yes, inthe very best way.
I reckon I might finally introducer knee to tarmac without the rest
    following someday soon.

Well I thought it's reasonably swift.
And it keeps up with a much newer R1 that I was enjoying the company of
recently. Well up to about 160ish anyway.

It isn't often that people upset me on ukrm but here is a little song
what I rote which may go some way towards explaining my feelings on the
    matter.

Now, in your best country yee-ha accent recite the following:-

Me and my banjo are friends,
Me and my banjo are friends,
No matter what the weather, we'll always be together
    because
Me and my banjo are friends.

Thin ice laddie and you are on it.

Actually, I've got a big FOAD screw in the back tyre. I thought it felt
a little odd when leaving for home this afternoon..

[1] You've never ridden it, have you?

yeah, I know the recommended mods (lurked on the TRX mailing list for a
while). I did like my TRX, but sold it as I was going into a sort of
quasi off-roader phase (bought an R1150GS and a R30 Supermoto).
I had an SZR660 as my "first big bike" - really loved it, and yes, it's
got an amazingly low and thin seat, making it ideal for shorties. Not
ideal for touring though (though I did a 4000 mile in 3 weeks mini tour
    of Europe on it).
