Don't go tipping 4.5 litres in there all at once. You probably won't
need to refill it with that much. More likely it'll be about 1.litre
less. Manufacturers often specify several different oil refill
levels, my ZX12R even had all 3 stamped on the casing.. How much was
required for a complete refill after an engine build, how much was
required with and also without a filter change. 4.5 litres sounds
like a complete refill, but that's an oil cooled model, so perhaps it
has a very large capacity. I'd be inclined to start small and work
your way up as suggested by other posters, and also, if it's oil
cooled, probably worth getting your hands on a manual and finding out
if a drain from the sump is all taht is required or if there are
    additional drain points as well.

Yeah sweet got that but it did inevitably take roughly about that much
albeit not poured in in one go.

Three frames and a set of CF forks.

All sold. The best of them, a 1.75Kg compact racing frame went for over
$200. The bike program is a little flush. We can get all the seats and
reflectors we need. That lot nearly ended up in the skip.
