oil change

  1. I finally got around to doing the oil change on the Bimmer. The sump
plate had developed a leak so I decided to remove it and fix the leak
at the same time. Good thing I did, as the person who owned the bike
before decided that instead of using a gasket for the sump plug he
would simply apply loctite and do the plug up as much as possible.
After trying the normal methods I ended up drilling most of the plug
out and then collapsing the remaining thread. Gotta love working at a
place where they let you use hammers and power tools :)

Talking about power tools, used a very big angle grinder to remove the
speed brakes off a Mirage jet (static display at the front of the
base) yesterday. Now that was fun :)
