1982 V45 Magna...When I drive I get oil coming out of the Breather on
the top. I filled it to the spec my mechanic said and it still pisses
out. Anything to worry about here with this??

I assume you filled it to the bottom of the fill hole while the bike was
on the centerstand on level ground. Given that, the brand of oil can
make a difference. I had a batch of oil that spewed from the breather
excessively, but I cured it just by switching to another brand.

It's normal. My rear gear housing is a very dark grey most of the time
because of it. I just see it as a great indicator of "there really is oil
in there". Nothing more than a pita.

I am using Honda Brand 80-90 Gear Oil. I bought it from the Dealer so
I thought it would be ok But I will try a different type of oil.

    Thanx

I always use castrol syntrax hypoid oil is great and the wear on a bmw
final gear was almost zero. After 200.000 kM say 140000 Miles.

On the mG site they have a message don't use syntrax it's to slippery,
the gear box won't shift gear then.....

    something's wrong.
    i would check further.

The owners manual I have says fill it to the fill hole.
I recommend checking your measuring cup. Those housings will not hold
over two gallons of fluid. :)
