oil level rising

I've got a TRX850 and have notice that the oil level has been increasing
slowly. Would this be due to blow by or fuel contamination?

The oil went black after about 200km when changed.

Nah nah, somebodies filling it up with dirty oil when your'e not looking.
It's quite a common problem around Melbourne. Cage drivers get sick and
jealous even, of the loud noise and lane splitting, so they quickly pop some
contaminant in the oil filler hole when our backs are turned ie: go
shopping. This is one of the reasons Ive got a filler cap locknut on mine.
You should get one, they're only 6 bucks from ya local dealer.

 

Water contamination. A long ride will fix that.

You've probably got your breather pipe attached arse-about, causing an
inflow of contaminants which turn your oil black and increase its volume.
Just revs the guts out of it when you first start it up in the morning, and
after a while your oil level will drop.

perhaps its magic, you should poor the oil out and sell it, that way you
will pay of the bike in no time...
