OK convince me

  1. Why shouldn't I buy an Enfield Bullet?

They are cheap, in production, start and run, got a wheel at each end
and a seat in the middle, come in black, people won't need to look for
an excuse to point and laugh at me and it is a thumper.

I don't see the down side.

  3. Appalling build quality, shoddy materials[1], crap handling
The only good thing that I can see about them is that they hold their
    value well..

    Well, now....

Build quality and materials have (apparently) improved considerably in
    recent years.

There's not much wrong with the handling.

    Brakes are crap.

Mine snapped its crankpin at 7,000 miles. The new engine (yet to be
run in) looks better finished than the original, but probably still
has a slightly fragile bottom end[1]

I don't think I'd buy another, but I doubt I'll sell this one either.

    Umm...

    Wibbleflipdibbledoo.

    [1] Who doesn't, dearie?

    Apparently.

Their web site is full of the things they have done to improve this
rather poor reputation. New CNC machines and factory practices and
    management consultants and shite.

The latest version has a front disk.

If you want it, just get it. It's an interesting bike you can fertle
about with cheaply. I'd consider getting one, if I still had a job. :(

You're a member of the human race.

    Fair point.
Please could we have your human race membership card back.

Actually, I wouldn't mind playing with an Enfield.

Think of how many running TS250s you could get for the same money! One for
    every day of the fortnight....

So you'd have 13 days to fix each one before needing it again.....
