True, but Frank Turner's playing this year and he's well worth seeing.

I did nip back a couple of Sundays ago when the ex and kids had gone
away for the weekend. Joined in the Scottish Ducati owners club at the
start of the Edinburgh festival cavalcade then took it for a blast.

We've had beautiful sunshine the last couple of days and that's the
first time I've started to miss it.

  4. Saw him Wednesday (plus 5 other times in the last year) he's utterly
wonderful. I've told the 'he phoned my daughter on NYE to say HNY to
her' story before but it's worth telling again. Utterly smashing bloke
and 'Love, ire and song' is just sublime.

I suspect it's because you might get quite sweaty throwing a dirt bike
around all day and some fresh undercrackers would make for a more
    pleasant evening.

Either that or they lace the lunch with Senokot. Prace bets now.

  7. As of now that is the best visual; of why the Spanish side of the
Pyrenees really is warmer / drier than the French side! Nice link -
    thanks.

    cheers

  8. Damn you Eaton. It's been cold and wet for so long I decided to do a
roast dinner with all the trimmings as warming comfort food tonight.

Obviously your heartfelt plea has had some impact because the sun is
out and it's warming up. I could have been chopping and marinading the
chicken if I'd known you'd get a result. BBQ tomorrow I think.

So you'd rather fall off on rock hard ground instead of nice soft mud?

They supply all the kit so we don't need to worry about taking home
stinking wet & muddy riding kit, we just leave it in a pile and head
    off to the pub.

I drove from Edinburgh up to Fort William this evening. Glen Coe was
lovely. Wish I'd been on the bike.

Ah. I thought the yellow thing the North's been seeing all week was
    the sun.

It all started when I finally got that V11 reassembled and MOT'd. The
two-plus months it was in bits, the weather was fine.

<Looks out of window at beautiful blue sky and anticipates the same
heat as yesterday> I think we'd have appreciated some rain
    yesterday...not too much mind.

Oh, I dunno, the dark clouds had their emptying moments.

Must have honked it down in Beds though - we can't believe how much the
grass has grown in a week!

And I was right, eh? Great weather all weekend, in fact.

When will you learn to trust me, Nigel?

Apart from the rain and the strong wind, you mean?

    Spot on.

You can redeem yourself by arranging for it to be glorious on Friday.

It's been great with *me*! Well, apart from a couple of light showers
    on Saturday.
Roger Wilco. Forecast looks good atm.

Makes a nice change for this side of the country to get the better
weather. Had a couple of showers Saturday but a glorious weekend
otherwise. Looks set to last the week too.

Heh, I remember you mentioning that trip, sounds great fun.

If I manage to get to the EOSM I might try to get some more details from
    you.
