Everyone is being too nice to one another!

And I even find myself being too nice these days. With the crappy
weather and lack of riding I'm into while waiting on my new bike,
we're supposed to be grumpy and all.

Hell, I haven't even called Bjay a usenet pussy in a while!!!

We need to get back to normal before some creepy bastard calling
himself to being a moderator comes in and shuts us down....

Well, Brian, I would love to help out and post something truely
flameworthy, but unfortunately I am in too good of a mood.

You see, last night I got my Harley back together after having it
scattered in peices in my garage since January 18, and today I am
going to ride it to work. Also, this morning it is 40 degrees, and
it's predicted to go up to 50 degrees this afternoon. We have not
seen a HIGH of 40 degrees since I took the bike apart. So, I'm afraid
I can't help out with your plea. The best I can do is post pictures
of my garage adventure. Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will come
along and make fun of my bike, or my garage, or my project, and then
we can have a nice little flamewar.

    http://preview.tinyurl.com/ywjhkn

Heck, I even provided a preview site for those concerned about opening
strange sites and getting a virus, and all the pictures are in
thumbnails for folks with dial-up connections. That's hardly likely
to generate the grumpiness that you are looking for.

Oh, and as long as we not sniping at each other, congratualtions on
    the Super Blackbird.

Well hell.. you've caught me during a weak moment.. lol.. Can't think of
anything nasty to say to you, at this time.. hmmm.. Outside of a very
minimal critique of another newsgroup where some of you guys are
pounding the hell out of one old nutcase .. Everyone knows how I feel
about all that ganging up stuff.. Even though that clown deserves it more
than anyone I've seen on usenet for a long while.. seems like one of the
more knowledgeable guys should handle him with ease.. he's piss ignorant..

At any rate.. I'm in too good a mood to be pissing off energy by getting all
nasty, today.. temps near eighty and I'm riding.. Besides, anticipation for
    the
excellent ride into Mexico coming up, I just can't bring myself to indulge
    in
a silly assed flame war (unless I really get provoked).. That being said..
    why
don't you mount on of those motorcycles and make that run with us.. There
ain't no doubt.. one more fat boy would be welcome and the company could
    not be better..

Shit, I can't even think of anything mean to say about your OR your
Harley that was in pieces but is no more. I'll bet if I think long and
hard about it, I won't even be able to say anything mean about your
karate lessons or your big circles you ride in!

And since we're not being mean and insulting, thanks for the congrats!
Actually, you might've spied this bike of mine if you've ever got down
to Deals Gap much. The bike comes from your area and has made it's way
to the Gap several times. It's not like real hard to miss and doesn't
blend in very well with other bikes. If you'd seen it, you would've
known you seen it. I won't be real close to your area, but you're
welcome to cut over and ride a little bit with us when I pick the bike
up. I'll be picking it up the first week of March. The plans I made
with my work is to go several days before I need to be there and we're
going to ride the area while I'm there. Then once I'm done we'll be
leaving out going the long way back toward Texas and those guys out
there will be splitting off a couple hundred miles into the ride and
I'll be finishing the tour myself seeing some wonderful parts of the
country. The best part to all this is my company has agreed to give me
the entire week (minus the two days I have to work out there) and will
foot the entire bill for the trip. They looked at the cost of the
flight I'm not having to book and saw how I'm saving a huge amount by
using the Blackbird for my flight home. You're welcome to join us in
any part of that week and ride along....I'll even spring for a nice
supper, how's that for being nice!

    It's well worth the ride!!!

Maybe next year. A riding buddy of mine, from Canmore, and I are
kicking around the idea of trailering our bikes out of the frozen
north and once clear of the snow, riding through the southern States
    and into Mexico.

I have been listening intently to all the bitching about the cold
weather down there, partially getting a chuckle out of it when
compared to the snow and ice we are enjoying and at the same time
getting a feel for the best timing for our ride. So far it looks like
a late February to early March ride.

I know what you mean. It must be the cabin fever, and maybe all the news
of new and refurbished rides, lol. I can't seem to get these damn keys to
punch out a luke warm post, let alone a 'flame'. If all this leads to a
group hug somewhere along the road someplace, let's do it where no one can
see us, ok? There are too many reputations on the line here, lol.

Congrats to all who have found a new ride, and best wishes for a safe
    rideing season to everyone.

I have to admit, after reading about your trip last year, and seeing
the pictures that people posted, I think I would really enjoy a ride
into Mexico with you experts on the area.

Unfortunately, I'm on a riding trip from 1 March to 12 March and again
from 9 June to 24 June, and I'm taking a family vacation for two weeks
in July, so I can't afford another extended trip, away from work.

    Dammit.

    But thanks!

You're welcome. I've always liked the Blackbird better than the
Hayabusa (I like its crisp, sharp lines better than the 'busa's
    bulbous, kind of droopy, look.)
Sounds like a great trip, just picking it up. I will be in the
complete flatlands of Key West, Florida, the first week in March!

Did you post pictures of the bike somewhere?

AIN'T that the Truth! HotDamn, what has happened here. Louie's fault, I
    rectum??

I been thanking' the same dang thang', Brian.

I thought to my self just the other day, how sweet you have been lately.
You are right, it has been awhile since you've resorted to callin' me
    one of your favor-rite de'rog' names. <g>

You, Bill ,and me, apparently haven't messed with each other enough to
even entice Ole Vic to respond lately.

We all know Fat Man Vic lurks in on us, but he ain't much on talking
    moto stuff, you know!

So my sweaty Do-Rag is off to this nice group of fellers. (all 6

Then as long as you're going to be on the road March 4th, how about
swinging over to the Tennessee area and joining all us on a ride
through the Gap and back? Might even get down to North Carolina and
    ride the Smokey Mountains again...

So, ya gotcha a ''group committed'' to ride way over there eastward with
you to pick up the HumpBack Blackbird?
Sounds like a lotta fun, and quite a round trip.

Not unless the "group" doesn't mind riding without me....I can only
ride one motorcycle home, so going to pick up a motorcycle while
riding a motorcycle isn't the brightest thing in the world to do....

You somehow interpret what you want in a posting, don't you? Curtis
    Mathis still on the blink?
