  2. The only bike mags worth anything are old (1980 and earlier) copies of
Bike, or really old (40 years+) ones from the Brit era.

And only then if they've got interesting tests of bikes now considered
    classics.

And even then - maybe 50p-£1 a copy max.

I had a about ten years worth 1996 ish onwards. I just took them into
work and dumped them in the messrooms.

I have a number from the seventies with Guzzi and MZ tests. The whole
    magazine makes hilarious reading.

If anyone wants to publish something for 'real bikers' remember Mark
    Williams "Rock Reviews" and reconsider...

Thus spake sweller unto the assembled multitudes:
Gosh, has it really been ten years since 1996? How time flies... :)

I had a boxful of Bike dating from *almost* the first edition up to about
1978. Eventually ran out of room and chucked 'em, fool that I am. :-(

Sarah decided to make some room a couple of years ago, by slinging all the
negatives and strips of transparencies from the last 20-odd years in the bin
(she was in a bit of a mood). Of course, I retrieved them - they're hidden
safely in the shed, although I haven't told her...

  6. I've got every Performance Bikes from when it was launched (1983?)
until the late 90s. I've also got a bunch of Superbikes from 1977 to
    the mid 80s.

I'm thinking of clearing them out, and having listened to your views
on this in the past, was going to take them to the tip. Any reason
    why I shouldn't?[/QUOTE]

Nope. I'd keep the old copies of Superbike, though - say up to 1983 - as
    you're a ShiteoldBike fiend.

Any value in an almost complete set of Motorcycle Mechanics 1959-1963.
They are in pretty poor shape but have some good articles relating to SOBS
    of that era

You could sell them on ebay.

  9. Some, probably. The thing to do is put them on Ebay individually,
starting price 50p each, detailing the features and roadtests each
    contains.

Something with a test of a 99 Dommi might attract buyers. A test of a
period Ducati certainly will. Something with a group test of 125
    Villiers-engined lightweights probably won't.
