About mid-way between Cowan and Pie in the Sky.

The police had randomly pulled over bikes heading North. Seemed like
20-30 there. This was about 12:30'ish.

I was heading north at about 11:30 and nothing was there then - on my
return the operation had been set up.

I got a funny look when I went past (south) (from the copper who had
just started wearing long trousers!) but didn't get pulled over.

    Any ideas?

dunno..... i was heading north about 3:30 and there was nothing on the
interesting parts of the road, but just before on the north heading
side there was a pretty big RBT set up, maybe 6 cop cars. I didnt get
pulled over, but plenty of people were. I kept it under the speed
limit since its double demerits and i was pretty sure there would have
to be a camera somewhere looking for bike, but i didnt see anything.
Went as far as road warriors cafe which was closed, then came back.
the RBT was gone by the time i passed that spot again.

Word is the coppers are doing a bit of a crack down down at Old Road
for the next few weeks. Last 3 weekends there have been cops up there
doing "random" breath test (by random I mean all cars get let through,
all bikes get stopped). Where you get a license check, and a can check
for the sticker as well as speaking your name into the machine.

HWP cars out in force as well.
