After searching the net every night for months looking for old parts for the SR500 and the TL250, I stumbled on a Honda parts
dealer in NZ. Emailed him about the sprocket cover for the TL, got an answer saying yes, we have one. $40NZ + $8 freight. After
rooting around trying to pay him, this paypal and DD shit is difficult for me, especially overseas transactions. I'm much happier
with Visa. He didn't have a secure website, and I didn't really want to email my CC details, so I rang him. No wuckers, details over
the phone and in the post it goes.

Part arrived today, sprocket cover for a 1974ish TL250. Opened the padded antelope and **** me, it's brand new, in the Honda plastic
    bag.

Half tempted to list it on ebay and make a fortune, there are none left in the states and on all the forums the most requested parts
are sprocket cover, plastic sidecovers and rear guard.

I'm getting the sidecovers and guard remade in glass.

Don't tell the missus I'm rebuilding 2 bikes at once.

  3. A guy in my my BMW club is quite pissed off with BMW that they haven't made
the new R1200GS in Black. He had a Black R1100GS, which he replaced without
his wifes knowledge by a Black R1150GS(on credit card), as they don't make a
Black one with the 1200 he can't buy a new one this time. He swears she
    doesn't know the difference.

I like his style. I don't replace, I just collect. Wonder how high she can count.
(she hasn't seen the SR for months)

You never know who's who on usenet.
Make smartass remarks for all to see and the
very guy you have laughed at may be the one you are
    telling the story to.

Check your rule book. It was a legal bowl then... only outlawed
    afterwards.

Yeah Clem, you are correct of course.
Cricket has allways been a sport for gentlemen not outlaws.
Our team may have been naive enough to play by the
unwritten rules of the game, and had apparently not realised
how competitive your team had become. Win at any cost, or
so it seemed. Thankfully sanity has prevailed and *that* matter
has been sorted forever. Interestingly it seems the competitive
spirit between our two countries keeps us all on our mettle, and
is probably one of the reasons that we are at the top of our
respective games. Hopefully that will never change.

Are you ever going to get over George's retirement though ?
After last night's routing it doesn't look good for you does it?
