    Anyone been up there lately?

I am tempted to go for a run up there but I don't want to be asked
about stickers on my pipes etc...

Any comments? Not worth it anymore?

It is a road and it has always been policed heavily.

    Ride it or don't

Its a 60kmh zone now, ride it on a 50cc scooter for maximum fun effect.

Toddled up there Saturday on the R1*, despite grey weather and
intermittent rain there were at least 30 odd bikes there much to my
surprise, I expected it to be deserted given the weather looked like it
    would piss down (didn't though).

I carefully did the speed limit plus or minus 5K, a bit boring it was,
at least at 70K 4th gear no brakes made it mildly interesting. About the
only way you could raise the degree of difficulty at 60K would be trying
to do it on one wheel or something.

Didn't see any cops but then I suspect they thought the same as I did
    about traffic levels.

Wisemans was better and almost no traffic.

Or on a rigid rear end girder forked SLS drum braked single.

Was interesting enough on a plunger rear and tele forked SLS drum
    braked single.

Yeah, I never used to go too crazy but around 100kph was fun and not
too dangerous... Those were the days eh? When we were skilled and
responsible enough to ride at 100 kph...

I wonder what it will be next year 45?

Oh well Track Day soon, guess I can wait...

    Cheers

BTW That's a good friend that leaves you with is R1... Or did he just
    leave the keys?

Can't go all gui, it's definitely an older bike than that.

    Go all punchy instead.

No, he gave me a pizzling for only having done 600 or 700K on it in a
month. That's OK, he'll probably have the Raptor for 6 months at the end
of this year before it goes onto a Milligoon container Europe bound

Mate if you can do 60mph round the old road on a rigid Enfield, good
    luck to you.

I certainly think you would find it more fun on that bike at 60km/h
than yuo would on an R1 at 60km/h though.
