older bikes done by the EPA?

    We need a case where the cops or epa have nailed a dB complying pre1998
    (or even better a pre 1976) bike for no label - ie. before all this
    stuff came in, hence would be totally retrospecive.

    I had a cop try and give me a ticket for noise on my IT490 fitted with
    standard exhaust, we where right outside the local rego checking garage and
    asked the rego guy, cop let me go after much to and fro.

    But not for not having the sticker on the pipe?

    I can see being done for a stock pipe would be annoying!

    No mention of stickers or numbers, he was just going off about noise, he did
    check to see if baffle was fitted, the rego guy said there is no requirement
    for a bike as old as the IT to have compliance, (1983 model ), I guess he
    meant numbers and such, it doesn't need mirrors either, so I guess I was
    lucky, but I would hate to have the old girl go past me in the M5 Tunnel,
    shit it makes some noise when your up it.
