On the subject of brakes

    On my Suzuki commuter scoot, I've noticed that the brakes have bugger
    all initial bite but are then rather good. As I'm not always on the
    brakes, the brakes down't stay warm and the crap brakes become good
    brakes pattern (squeeze lightly to warm then squeeze tightly to stop)
    pattern is something that I've got used to

    Is this characteristic typical of a particular sort of pad?
