    It seems to have Cane's name written all over it

    "I'm not interested in part exchanges unless Her name begins with H
    and is gorgeous:) Free case of Stella, or champagne, chardonnay, or
    some nice fruity red to the buyer"

    If I have another it would be the 998S but I have a hankering for
    another GSXR1000, K3 or 4 model. The Duke would have to come after the
    XS650, B12 and RD400 are disposed of.

    It's the same engine; a 996R has the 998cc testastretta engine
    in it that went into the 998 bikes. The 996R has more power,
    Ti/Mag engine parts, mag wheels, Ohlins suspension and carbon
    panels over the 998S.

    996, 996S = 996cc
    996R = 998cc testastretta

    998, 998S = 998cc testastretta
    998R = 999cc testastretta deep-sump

    ;-)

    Am I missing something? I think you're saying an XS650 of the 'US
    Custom' variety was doing 'power wheelies'.

    If that's the case, blimey.

    I think he's talking out of his arse, I had one for a while (much
    cheapness) and it didn't power wheely but it did go round corners as
    well as could be expected. The rubber mounted handlebars were a bit
    disconcerting at first but after a couple of rides you just became
    used to them.

    HA! well i hope he paid more than I offered in France.

    TBF sellers on Fleabay of K3/4 models are starting to look a little
    desperate. I offered 3.9 this week for a 2005 K4 with 1600 miles but
    the seller has decided to continue to let it rot and depreciate in his
    garage ;o)

    If the weather doesn't pick up I will leave it until next season.
