Indeed, which is why my search for a Nissan Navara with that
registration turned up vehicle not found.

    Very nice :~)

I would guess that BA57ARD is probably a disallowed plate, so good
    effort!

And Mr Irvine, your GYASB halo appears to have slipped.

go and talk to the Catholics.

<hurt> I was merely surmising what was in WUN's mind. *My* thoughts
are entirely ... er, entirely ... er, otherwise.

  11. My tame independent porsche specialist says to avoid the 996 model
now, as they engines are starting to let go due to crappy somethings.

The only two plates I'd have are CHR 1S and CHR 15. The former is on
an M3 and the later on a RR Vogue.

  14. Engine casings, I think.
Yes, mine too, having ploughed a loud of spare cash into the latest
    house.

    LOL what all of them!!

There are loads of low mileage late revision ones out there. I wouldn't buy
an early one, there is the odd failure of early 996 water cooled engines and
lots of bugs, but the late revision (nicknamed MkII), 2001 on, are pretty
bullet proof. Look for a 2003/4 car anyway. The odd leaky engine side drive
shaft seals don't actually have to be repaired. Only biggies I've heard of
are the occasional output main bearing.

I've no interest in Porsches before that date.
The new Turbo coming out sounds incredible but I think the current GT3 is
probably as good as it ever needs to be for thee or me, road or track.

  16. He was pretty clear: don't get one, unless it's had the engine
    replaced.
Very true. I'd rather have a Turbo for the road, and a 914 for the
    track.
