    In the small print it says "Easily extracts damaged screws made of
    almost any alloy, such as soft brass screws" which suggests to me that
    it won't undo anything that is in tight.

    It's a fancy easyout. Kinda like the drilltaps I use at work. They work
    okay for some applications.
