Certainly would. I've seen just shy of 120 on the speedo of my R65 in
top with the needle in the red, so R65 gearing is a must! Motorworks do
used bevel boxes for £135, but you can buy a 35 tooth cog to replace the
    31 tooth cog.

Then again, with R45 gearing you could maybe wheelie off the throttle
    :)
Yes please. I have visions of Taz from the cartoons

Experience with one suggests that an R65 really isn't up to pushing any
kind of fairing unless you're a lot more patient than I am.

Bear scribbled on the back of a napkin:
Probably, but then again IME the standard R65 is not really up to
pushing a big fairing along. BMW tended to lower the final drive
gearing on the bikes with larger fairings for that reason.
Has anybody pointed out to him recently that this particular joke is
    getting just a tad old?

Good point. Mine pushes its RS fairing well enough, but I expect that
the aerodynamics of the RS are significantly different to this one on
eBay. TBH, if I were to buy it (which I'm not going to do), I'd be
looking to remove the fairing and return it to its original naked look

If I was looking for a naked Beemer, I'd go for a 100/7 - which,
interestingly, the panniers from that bike would suit, being as they're the
ones with the cutaway in the top.
