    He didn't "get away" with anything - they tried to book him for
    dangerous driving on top of the speeding fine, the court threw it out,
    which is perfectly good justice IMNSHO

    He was obviously innocent of what they charged him with then (although
    fairly obviously) also guilty of speeding.

    Speeding and dangerous riding aren't automatically the same things...
    although going by the verdicts of some of our local courts I can
    understand why you have this misconception :)
