This post brought to you via 34 inches[1] of TFT splendour :)

I thought the 20" Dell CRT I've been using for the last few years was
    good. I was wrong.

    [1] 19" x 2[2] to be precise.
    [2] Funny stuff, maths.

Don't blame maths. Maths is innocent, it was just obeying orders.
Blame the marketing guys who insisted on measuring the diagonal,
including the bits of tube you can't see.

At least they don't do that with TFTs - they're genuine, pukka 19".
Actually the Dell was 20" visible, so probably called a 21" in
    marketing speak.

Google Earth looks fantastic spread across the full width. I might have
to think about getting another couple of screens & starting the
    vertical build ;-)

Are they the Dell ones? I was looking at getting a widescreen LCD with
tv tuner. If I can get something at a reasonable price at about that
size it might do me well for quite some time.

However, all I've been able to find that's a suitable size, has a good
enough refresh rate for games/dvds, I can use as a tv and monitor is
the Dell 20" and 24" screens. Any ideas?

Let me know how it is. I want one, but it's a UK firm, and I only
have a US shipping address, etc

I might take the spec and see if I can get something similar built
    here.
