Ebay is a wonderful thing ...

Whilst casually cruising through the motorcycle pages in search of a
sensible commuter I was struck, you might say - between the eyes by a
FZRat. I aahed whilst others ummed, but we went out yesterday and
captured the Rat which now adorns the patio.

Minor fettling will ensue (like changing the flat, bald Chen Shing)
and an MoT will be passed - then it will become my daily commuter.

All being well, I should hear this week whether I have a place on a
full-time Access to Teacher Education course at the local college.
Didn't want to have to pay the horrendous parking fees in Bedford or
risk the CBR being knocked over in a student car park. Won't really
matter with The Rat ... hopefully people with give it a wide berth.

Loz was telling me about this today, so I was looking forward to the
pics. My younger cub says it's "Cool" too, but since she wears ears
on her lid I'd not take that as particularly significant <g>

With the 45 degree number plate referred to before....

 

For the real matt black finish use blackboard paint. So matt it stops
looking black.

 

Well, I'm obviously not in with the in crowd as I'll say "hmm" about the
looks. My first thought was "sell the numberplate to Timo" a) because
it'll make the bike even cheaper and b) it's best not to chance
attracting the wrath of the mechanical demons.

Seeing it in the pic, I'd say that plate and that expanse of rear tyre
will guarantee you a plodpull.
