350 mile round trip on the bike yesterday, it's been a while since I rode that far. Quite uneventful except it got a bit windy for the last 40 or so miles down the M40. Under one bridge I almost did an involuntary lane change. 'Must pay more attention' I thought. Next bridge - fine. Same the next. The one after that, sudden gust of wind, followed by a bright flash in front of the visor, followed by suddenly much more wind noise[1] and a strangely better view than I had just now. Whaa? Oh, that must have been my laminar lip. Arse, I'll bet they are expensive to replace. 20 mile detour back up to the previous junction to have a look for it, but no luck. £66 FFS. If anyone happens to see one on the M40 southbound between jns 11 and 10, and it's still in one piece, it's mine. [1] so it really does work in pushing the wind over the top.
