Now the friggin' Brumby has shit itself too!
The gearbox was making a lot of noise and jumping out of 3rd and 4th and
today it went "ping" and locked up the front wheels at 60kph, screeching to
a halt in the middle of the road!
A feller in a V8 Bronco hitched up a snatch-strap and just dragged it off
the road and then the RACQ brought it home on a tray back. (We then spent
another 30mins trying to get it back OFF the tray-back! Had to paint the
tray-back with oil then tie the bull-bar to a sturdy fencepost and pull the
    tray out from under it.)
    That's 1 motorbike and 1 car non-functional and the K75 unregistered!
I wonder if my old pushie still goes.........

Looks a beaut Pete; but why have you got a reserve AND a high
    starting-price?
Usually it's just one or the other.

Bugger! What's the going rate for a used gearbox? It'd be a prick of
    a thing to remove/install though...

  11. I love the Brumby. I know a nutter who had one with a full WRX STI drive train
    in it. Fun.

Met a guy in Adelaide that drops the flat 6 Sub motor in the Brumby, really
    makes them motor.

  14. Ummmm - maybe cause I don't know what I'm doing?

Actually, the reserve is there because it's the absolute minimum we want
    for it.

The starting price is there coz, whenever I see a $0.99 starting price I
kinda feel like... like.... like..... it'd dodgy. Don't know why I feel
like that, but that's the first feeling I get when I see that sort of
    thing: dodgy.

  20. Yep. That's the one - and one reason why it's going. Carol couldn't
handle the lack of engine braking when going down steep inclines, and
kept riding the brakes, instead of intermittent braking and giving them
    time to cool off.

Results - brake fade. All pads and fluids have been changed since then.
