Old battery, been deep discharged twice in a couple of months.
Optimate4 goes green after a charge and a self test.

Labors on the button and fails to start the engine.

I'm glad a bought a new battery as well as the charger! It's just
    cooking now. *crosses fingers*

Why would the optimate give a green?

(I did have a blog, but the server it was on died)

The red light indicates a certain nature of fucked-ness, which the
    Optimate can detect.

The green light indicates that it isn't fucked, as far as the Optimate
    can tell.
