    Superb...

    Whatever...

Im probably in a bit of an emotional state, but it was brilliant, took
me back to a previous life in the camps 20 yrs ago, when I was a
callow youth doing peace work at the start of the intafada... When I
was passionate and political and principalled...

Now theres a story or two...

Not strictly Arabic - not even vaguely really - but I'm still heavily
into a Tinariwen kick, especially after the stunning gig on Saturday.

    Thoroughly recommended, particularly Aman Iman.

Not sure it's that similar without having heard either of the above, but
you *may* like Speed Caravan, where they play electric oud.

Like the oud? Try Farid Al-Attrache, he noodles quite nice like...

For a mix of arabian styles, "Beginners Guide To Arabia" on the
    NASCENTE label (www.nascente.co.uk)...

Palestinian - remember those people, semetic - like, that you don't
like, (they probably want to kill your unborn child/wife/sister/who
    really cares)...

Well it turns out that some of them are apparently quite cultured and
    enjoy music... Weird huh?

Anyway, when they're not putting bombs into baby-carraiages and
killing thousands of innocents, they're making beautiful music and
solving the whole world peace/hunger thing...

    How freaky is that?
