OT as hell: ready meals

  1. Tank 'ee kindly sir. Which reminds me are you coming here for Christy
Moore as I haven't booked tickets yet?

  2. It's a bit like coffee though, sometimes you want the taste and
ceremony, sometimes bunging something substandard in a mug will do.
That would be good, I'd drink it all then not sleep for a week, whilst
being very hyper. One of my proudest moments was when Spawn of Platy
(something of a coffee fiend herself) commented on my intake of the
    bevarage and reaction to it.

So do I, but ISTR that Champ is an Unbeliever.
"...hanging upside-down in a boiling food-based liquid made of
something that the hangee finds quite repulsive..."

    That better?

Thanks, but I'll be down here for that.

    Champ says...
We still do if there's more than 2 people drinking tea.

  7. I'm going to that one too - the one on the 7th right?

  8. You seem to have decided to take everything I say at the moment
literally and personally at the moment Neal. Can I suggest that you
lighten up and stop being such an idiot?

  9. Especially as mine was intended to be a light-hearted semi-parody which
Champ has somehow decided has breached his standards of posting to the
    newsgroup..

    "I am what I am"..

  10. Don't be a complete arsehole Champ. Just because *you* don't have the
ability or experience to appreciate flavours doesn't mean that others
    don't.

Or do you seriously thing that we should measure everything by *your*
    standards?
"Oh look - how common I am! I'm everso proud of it".

Get a grip. You give a comfortable middle-class, middle-England life
and you trying to prove your working-class credentials at every turn is
    fairly pathetic.

    Phil.

  11. Apparently so since Champ seems to have lost the ability to distinguish
    humour.

Trouble is, Phil, that although you claim to be making comments is a
light-hearted vein, or 'only joking', that's not how they come across,
especially given your posting history. Your post above, for example,
reads like you're being perfectly serious, and as such it's perfectly
understandable that a reader would draw the conclusion that you've got
your head up your own arsehole.

I suggest you review your posting style if you want to avoid such a
    reaction.

And yes, before anyone, probably Bear, comments on this, I'm aware of
the irony of _me_ saying such things to Phil.

  15. Surely the <pant, pant, wipe foam off moustache> bit is a bit of a
    giveaway?

You don't think that I *seriously* would post that do you?
We could form the "we're just misunderstood" club..

I disagree. This bit at the end:

made me think that it was meant in a pretty light-hearted fashion.
"Let he who is without sin..."

Oh Christ[1]! I'll get Phil on at me about the religion, too now.

    [1] See, I've sone it again/

Certainly at work I used to drink a lot more instant coffee than tea,
partly for the convenience and partly because it was difficult to make
    a decent cuppa.
