    I hate cooking meat in those elasticated socks. I always remove the
    fuckers.
    we had belly pork this evening. Roasted slices rather than a joint. Served
    with roast spuds, parsnips[1], cabbage & gravy.

    When my mum was cooking for a family of 6 she would often do a belly joint.
    On the bone, with some sage & onion stuffing placed between the meat & the
    rib bones.

    [1] the frosty weather has made the local parsnips I bought yesterday so
    much sweeter.
