    You did, pretty much, yes.
    You mean you've seen how silly it made you look?

    It all went downhill when we broadened it from white, male, prod, property
    owners.

    I'm sure things will be better when we roll the ball back up 'hill.

    I said already you can't get a fag (paper) between them and anyone who
    thinks it will make a huge difference which one wins is living in a dream
    world. However govmints get worse the longer they remain in power and that
    basis alone, having thought about it, I'd rather see Cameron in than Brown.

    Watching Diane Abbott and Mike Portillo last night? I was impressed she
    voted against the new Digital Piracy bill (hopefully the Lords will kick it
    back) and I like her a lot but hell, does she get bigger every time I see
    her. I expect Lenny Henry will be sniffing round her coats tails.

    But Dave Camereron's Tories have seen what Blur did and liked it so much
    they are going to do it too so a vote for them is by their own admission
    a vote for doing exactly the same things. So forgive me if I seem
    stupid but please explain to me just how is more of the same going to be
    any different?[/QUOTE]

    It won't just be the same, though. Looking at the right-wing alliances
    DC's making in Europe, his intention to repeal the Human Rights Act
    and the toadying he's doing to Rupert Murdoch, prior to drawing
    Ofcom's teeth and unleashing Fox News on us poor Brits, I suspect
    we'll see a very different Tory party if/when they get in.

    Let's hope half of them switch to Lib-Dem.

    Thatcher and her cronies sold off enough 'crown jewels' to make Labour
    look like a bunch of hoarders, they raised unemployment, took us into
    an illegal war, implemented anti-terrorist laws and effectively fucked
    us for ever when it came to heavy engineering.

    I'm sure it was a Tory government that squandered the revenue from
    North Sea oil and gas by dropping taxes to buy votes rather than
    spending it on things that benefited everyone rather than those on
    higher than average salaries.

    * Lib Dems 57.14%
    * Conservatives 28.57%
    * UKIP 14.29%

    Thankfully the UKIP match was the Environment, because I think having
    nuclear power is sensible compared to groveling for fossil fuels in 10
    years time. Plus it might keep Bonwick in a job.

    Anyway, it's academic, the yellow team secured my vote yesterday with
    their 100% effort to reject the Digital economy bill where the other 2
    sides didn't. Shame there weren't more MPs to force the issue.

    Anyway, politics. FFS.

    So when the Tories drop taxes it's to 'buy votes', but if Labour were
    to do the same it'd be 'so everyone can benefit', and that makes it ok?

    What illegal war did the last Tory government take us into then?

    Here's the breakdown of your resultsLabour
    25.00% Labour
    25.00% Green
    50.00% Lib Dems

    No real surprises there.

    If the Tories had used the money to build hospitals, improve
    schooling, improve roads, improve the rail network or any other of the
    hundreds of things needed I'd have applauded them for it. They didn't.
    Are you having a laugh? It wasn't a Labour government in power when we
    had the first Gulf War, it was the fucking Tories sucking up the Bush
    senior. Yes, I know that idiot Blair did the same and I've slagged him
    off endlessly for it.

    No it's not. I know many investment managers, having worked with them
    for the last 13 years & they're the most uncorrupt bunch you could ever
    hope to meet. Which is a good job considering how easy it would be for
    them to syphon off a substantial amount of dosh.
    Right, even though some of those business leaders donate to the Labour
    party.
    Yeah, cos we haven't paid any price over the last few years have we.
    How much do you think Blair sold to get the Sun's support after decades
    of them supporting Labour? How much did he get for Bernie Ecclestone's
    support? How much have the Labour MP's in the recent 'we'll sort you
    out for a few grand a day' videos got over the years? I realise it's
    pointless disagreeing with you though as when it comes to politics,
    you're as blinkered as they come.

    That's a good site. On some questions I wanted to choose 'none of the
    above' but that wasn't an option so I went for my least disliked (bit
    like our elections I suppose).

    * Conservatives 37.50%
    * Green Party 25.00%
    * Lib Dems 12.50%
    * UKIP 12.50%
    * Labour 12.50%

    I was quite surprised by the Green Party bit.

    Not really, it was a fully sanctioned war involving many countries in
    direct response to Iraq invading Kuwait & then threatening to start on
    Saudi. Completely different to the second Gulf War, & totally justified
    imo.
