Just tried the Yahoo electionparty matcher which had me as a 65% match
to the Labour party, which sounds like a better match to my political
    leanings.

    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/elections/party-matcher

    Constitutional Reform 50%
    Proportional Representation

    Economy 65%
Looks like I agree with significant cuts in public sector spending.

    Education 80%
Something to do with city academies whatever they may be, probably
    English centric.

    Transport 60%
More road-building and fast train links.

    Welfare and Social Security 56%
Don't like taking money from disabled. It's always linked to unemployed
people too. I guess being a workshy parasite is a disability [1].

[1] I'm not talking about Darcy here, I'm sure if we could pay him for
contributing to ukrm he'd earn a miserable pittance.

No idea, all they wanted was a passport number. Don't if they'll cross
    charge or not.

I'm sure I said that I was more than happy for Saddam to be kicked out
of office on either occasion and I'm not sorry that they stretched his
neck but if one war was illegal then I can't see how the other one
    wasn't.
Get over yourself. I've said all along he needed removing but I'm not
convinced by the 'this war is legal and this war is illegal' bullshit.
It doesn't have to be legal to be justified and I find it highly
amusing that you've got on your high horse about the second fiasco
    being illegal.

If we want to go for 'illegal' then thatcher ordering the sinking of
the Belgrano certainly wasn't legal but as far as I'm concerned I
don't give a **** as long as it saved a few more British lives.
Re-taking the Falklands was certainly as legal an act of war as you
can get but declaring an exclusion zone and then sinking ships because
you feel like it is a bit dodgy.

It's probably worth pointing out that if I ever hear that one of the
submarines I've helped build sinks a foreign warship I'll give a big
cheer whether it's legal or not.

That has me 66% matched with labour and 62% matched with the libdems.

Oddly, it didn't ask "do you support authoritarian nutjobs who need
kicking to the kerb for at least five years to remind them that they're
elected parliamentarians, not the king and his court" which would rule
out my voting labour in the coming election even if they promised me an
RSV4 and fifteen minutes on Kim Kardashian.

It has me matched 74% with Labour, 61% with libdems & 49% with the
tories. Pretty much as I'd have guessed I suppose.

80% labour, 74% Lib Dem here. But quite frankly I wouldn't piss on
Labour if they were on fire... unless I learn to piss petrol.

  9. Just in case, if any party wishes to make it its policy to offer KTM
RC8s out to voters they have my vote (well, as long as they're not the
    BNP or of their ilk).

Even though you agree with the majority of their policies?

You don't have to wear a sign admitting to voting for the cunts and
nobody need ever know unless you tell them.

Except I don't agree with some fairly significant policies that
weren't in that survey, and I'm utterly fucked off with what they've
and the conservatives have done with the digital economy act in the
past few days, as it utterly fucks over the UK tech sector in ways
they haven't even started to consider. And let's not got onto DNA
databases, ever growing levels of surveilance, and undermining EU
human rights little by little. Tip of the iceberg.
The only thing I'll tell them is that their sordid backhanded deals
with the record industry, and neglect of openness and proper process
    has cost them my vote.

I've done this and the yahoo one and I get Tory 75% and 65%
    respectively.

shame I think they're all the same and my vote will go to someone to
    help get their deposit back.

Lots of people agreed with their "policies" before - it didn't stop
them forgetting all about them once they'd got their arses on the
    Gov't benches.

So it seems I'm not such a tory boy after all.

But your point two posts down is equally valid - the quiz centres
around those policies that the parties are fighting over right now,
not those that may or may not be important to me.

Bit honestly, the chances of me _ever_ voting Labour are about as
remote as... oh, hang on, is that a pig flying past at 1000 ft?
