Father-in-law is looking for a pub he spent time in during the 50s in
Rathvilly, County Wicklow, apparently its opposite the church. We're
looking for the name and hopefully a website. Have looked on Google
Earth but nothing at adequate zoom level, haven't managed to track
anything down via other searches. Given the FOAK resides here can
anyone poit us in the right direction, and yes I know it's west of the
    UK.

    TIA

Isn't that part of the definition of a pub a Ireland "opposite the church".

    The pub *is* the church.

I was in a pub somewhere in Mayo that was also an undertakers.

I've heard of an ice hotel, but a mayo undertakers is just silly.

we're talking about the Free State here - "just silly" can be taken as
    read.
