Will we have relief from that whining twat from Graceland tomorrow. I am
old enough to remember him first time round and it was gruesome then, now it
is torture. Put him back in his box FFS and forget him for another 30
    years.

  5. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Bill
It was thirty years ago, this very night, that my Dear Old Dad wandered
into my room as I was dozing off, and intoned in sonorous tones:

    "The King is dead!"

before cracking up laughing and trotting off to his pit.

By a curious coincidence, the room he wandered into is the very room
that I sit in now, typing to UKRM.

It's a funny old life, and no mistake.

  6. AOfuckingL. The whole thing reminds me of the Jim Reeves phenomenom -
seemed to make more records (and money for the record companies) after
his death than he did when alive.

Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

To quote Danny Baker (may God forgive me) "Without Elvis there'd be no punk
rock and no popular music as we know it" (or something similar)

I'm no fan of Elvis, but Baker did have a point. He was pretty much the
start of the "Evil Devil Music"

I hardly think a penchant for moped racing warrants that kind of abuse.
