It, assuming you meant the Sprint, nearly wasn't earlier today. I was
targeted by one of hells grannies. Luckily she was deflected by a handy
concrete bollard and her passenger apparently wrenched the handbrake on,
but there was some definite seat suction for a second.

As in most responses: it's expected

"I've paid my XX.xx and I want the full show"

The only time it really worked for me was Graham Parker...

    just fabbie

Though I think at La Scala they can get a bit "attitude"....

The songs are all just made up. They're not real. The entire notion of
"songs" is an illusion. The encore thing allows people to join in with the
    pretense.
The whole concert is a waste of time.
So don't clap. If everybody didn't clap, things might be different. In
fact, if everybody chanted "Om mane padme hum" instead, things might be
interestingly different. Or whistled "Lilli Marlene".
Why not eliminate the artificial divisions between songs?

That's cool... I haven't been able to day-dream for ages and at the
moment they're definitely day-mares. Trashy TV has become my refuge.

Any tips? I try thinking of peaceful woodlands but keep hearing noises
    in the trees...

Not really. I appear to have an ability to detach myself from reality at
    will, regardless of the circumstances.

Fucking handy, it is. Last time I *really* needed it I was being wheeled
into an operating theatre[1]. A quick decision to drop into a favourite
sexual fantasy helped enormously, but may have done odd things to my
    blood pressure.

Compared to that, falling for a reasonably well-written bit of tosh, or
something musical that's vaguely in tune is no trick at all.

Leading an apparently charmed life may help too, if I'm perfectly
    honest.

[1] Drugs may have been involved here.

I was introduced to that particular mantra by Dr Who.

And to think that some say the licence fee isn't value for money!

Maybe it's a guy thing, I know one like that.
*snort* Well, I won't be having any sexual fantasies for a while,
    they're not restful enough.
Troo. And I can do that, but it tends to wake me up when it stops.
Hmm. Yeah. Maybe that's a guy thing too.
    Bit short of those atm.

Yeah, but the second encore's going to be a *doozy".

    Apparently.
