  1. What's the current state of affairs with hand luggage on Eurodom flights at
    the mo ?

Laptop rucsacs or clear bags etc etc ?

  2. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, "Brownz @ Work"
One piece of hand-luggage through security. Liquids must be in a
container of less that 100ml, and in a separate clear bag. And if the
    minimum-wage snot-gobbling jumped-up **** on security is in even a
mildly bad mood they'll change the rules to spoil your whole day.

    Have a nice flight.

All of the above. Basically it's just fluids that are limited to 100ml
and have to be in a sealed bag. Anything else goes, depending on
    airlines' specific size restrictions, etc.

  6. Watch out if you buy liquids at duty frees/shops in the airport? Some
airlines/airports are getting sniffy about it.

Actually, that didn't appear to be the case at all when I flew to the
UK and back last week. It may be airport-dependent, but at Basel and
Luton (and Zurich when we flew at xmas) they very clearly signed that
goods bought once through security could be taken on board, provided
    they were still sealed.

    Bwwahaaaahhaaa <deep breath> Bwaahaahaaahaaaaa!

Forget it. I got stopped for Marmite. "It's a paste" they said, "No
    it's not, it's a spread" says I, when I suggested a tasting session I
got escorted out. 'Course they had me bang to rights like, cos my mate,
the international Branston Pickle Terrorist, was on the same flight.
We had a laugh at baggage reclaim.

The laptop will probably be ok.

  10. Quite fucking right. I can only congratulate the Undercover
Anti-Marmiteer Snatch Squad for their diligenge in doing a necessary job
well and denying such a dangerous subversive a seat out of the country.

Bovril itself wandered for a couple of years in the vegetarian wilderness.
Last year it heard the cries of the believers: "Where's the beef?"
and returned to the straight and narrow amid much rejoicing.

Can we hope for a return to the original recipe for digestive biscuits?

I usually do a laptop bag and a wheelie trolley thing, but that gets
    put in the hold now.

They only allow one hand-held bag, although I've done laptop and
duty-free bag recently. I did see a sign saying that duty-free bought
in other airports would be acceptable if unopened and with a receipt. I
can't remember if that was specific to Munich or Frankfurt, or general
    policy though.

I stick all my liquids in the case - there's nothing liquid I can't
either buy airside or cope without for a few hours. The one time I've
been asked about a liquid was as I was swigging from a bottle of water
as I queued for security. I wasn't allowed through with it, but she did
    suggest I finish it.

  17. Schweeet, business as usual then.
As long as I've got my camera, psp & laptop in my rucsac along with the
obligitatory change of socks & undergrunts and a toothbrush, I'll be
    alright.

Typical.... no overseas travel since last june then 4 trips in the space of
    a month.... huzzah !
